Drew graduated in May 2023 from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, but was born and raised in Alabama. Drew currently works as a Planning/GIS Technician in coastal eastern North Carolina. He's passionate about soccer, reading, writing, German language and culture, geography, watching YouTube, traveling, cooking, and so much more. He has been co-host and editor of The Drew and Choody Show since its inception. At Clemson, he was a two-year resident assistant in the Honors Residential College, as well as the co-president of Clemson YDSA, and an active member of both Clemson Humanities Prison Initiative and iLEAD!, a student leadership program. Drew is excited to continue his journalism exploits through this blog after a hiatus from two years of writing for his high school newspaper.

  • A fan of the Clemson Tigers, Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, and Birmingham Legion FC.

  • Drew's last name means either "sharp mountain" or "spicy mountain" in German, depending on how it's translated.

  • Has made several cheesecakes during his lifetime, including NY and key lime styles.

  • Distantly related to Elvis Presley.

  • Won Alabama MaxPreps Player of the Week during his senior soccer season in high school.

  • A pescatarian.

  • Major fan of Matt Farley, the most prolific songwriter/musician in human history.

Charles “Choody” Elmer recently obtained his Master's in environmental science at DePaul University, and is an engineering graduate of Virginia Tech University. He’s an aspiring arborist and urban forester committed to greener cities and the complete annihilation of car-based infrastructure.
He enjoys cooking, listening to music, sports, dancing, and playing League of Legends with his friends. He
is also the creator of the VeloTour fantasy cycling competition.
